Watch this amazing Experiment!
In contact with the air, this water looses polar hability and sticks to itself, transforming into solid water spheres.
MUST SEE- Full Guide How to make it also! werd
1) The chemisty is off. Sodium bicarb (baking soda) plus acetic acid (viniger) does in fact make sodium acetate as the video states, but thats about the only thing accurate in this video. Adding calcium bicarbonate (which doesn't even exist in solid form) or even calcium carbonate will not form any new product as protrayed in this "chemical reaction."
2) The products should be clear, not colored. Nothing that was reportedly added is pink or turns pick on reaction.
3) There is no reason for the spheres to all form the same size. In addition, once one sphere in his hand interacts with another, they should both become one, just as occurs when one ball falls into the glass of liquid.
4) The spheres are too rigid. They are acting more like marbles (which is not even possible), not spheres with liquid inside (which is somewhat more plausible).
5) What the hell is "polar hability." I have never heard that term before. The closest I can think of is something losing it's polarity, which still doesn't make any sence in relation to this video.
Nice try.
Ha ha yeah table salt is sodium chloride, not calcium bicarbonate. I hate fake videos.
By mistaediee 1228095862He said salt AND sodium bicarbonate. They were both in separate containers. It's never even implied that they are the same thing, so I don't know where you got your comment from.
By Dex Luther 1275684628How much does a vowel cost?
If I buy more than one, do I get a discount?
Where do I buy them
Thanks
good luck with this. the first step of adding baking soda and vinegar together will give you nothing but foam.
By jaxplane2 1220642142I have the balls ..u can buy em and then put them in water which makes them grow... F**king dumb..tryin to fool people to do all that..
By Mush666 1220509565if the water loses it's "polar hability", whatever that is, the time it makes contact with air. then why the F doesn't all the water turn to a big ball since it's constantly touching the air??? this guy is a loser
By ExileNin 1220647636special litle balls that in contact whith watter they expand and absorb the watter.. ....the balls r used for flowers to be kept moist.
By mikypanda 1220646883You keep accidentally typing the letter R. Might want to work on that.
By ayeroxor 1225111085in stead of "those are......i wrote those r...same thing if u read itt loud......the same whith the letter u....in stead of you i wrote u.....and in stead of corecting me u (you) better pay atentione to the vid's, mabe u will learn some thing.....
By mikypanda 1225474233I don't know what English you learned, but 'you' and 'u' are not the same thing. One's a letter, and the other is a word.
I find it really sad that people wasted money to send people like you to school.
But me learn fast.
You mean sunhing lik thees:
w d y g f yself
ayeroxor, since your typing is terrible milkypanda
i will correct for you (y)
"instead of "those are", I wrote "those r" - they sound the same if you were to read it out loud. this is the same with the letter 'u' - instead of "you" i wrote "u". instead of correcting me, you would be far better off paying attention to the videos (vids). maybe you will learn something.
i hope you learned a little more about the english language here.
What a bunch of whining pricks you all are. Who are you to judge this person for doing what he did. Did he try and sell any of you idiots something, NO, all he did was show something he thought someone might be interested in. Why don't you try and speak pr read his language and see how you far you will get. Grow up and stop criticizing people for their lack of understanding of a language. At least they try, unlike you assholes!!
By DoubleD61 1222707326Why would he think anyone would be interested in his fake experiment?
By Dex Luther 1275685116Nice try on this hoax but the material is a hydrogel. They start out as little spheres that absorb water. They're showing up in flower shop, but I found them online at stevespanglerscience.com under 'clear sphere'
By ScottCarter 1225136453As awsome as this would be this guy is bull shitting you. there are a few simple observations i made. First where the hell does the pink tint in the water come from? Second if the water solidifies when it hits air why does it always retain the exact same shape instead of making bigger or smaller spheres and likes some one pointed out wouldn't it already cling to itself since it is already touching the air? and finally at about 2:30 you see one roll out shortly after you hear a bang makes me think its a marble or something either way its not real.
By Element_alchemist 1220683368you can see the ball idiot!!! try fooling your self better F**k your self
By axcel2001 1220637219I was just thinking, is there any way to make it bigger. then i can use it as water bombs. LOL!
By akiryuu 1220597587u can't use them as watter bombs cose they will not burst...they r some kind of watter absorbing gel......if u crush them in ur fingers they look like jelley....
By mikypanda 1225474458Why does the water turn pink at the end. Duh...I know. Those round balls are those bath bead thingies that my old lady uses in the tub. C'mon....WTF
By mattchapman 1220321333Your spelling skill (or lack thereof) makes me want to believe either English is a second language, had a putrid education and/or you have no pride in what you put forth in your name. Your hypothesis and experiment were bogus.
By drbruce2 1220311444Would you rather read a sentence perfectly composed in a different language? Or would you rather read badly composed english but you can perfectly understand it? You must be one of the millions of ignorant english as first language morons out there...
By DStaceyS 1222146264It was not a hypothesis, it was demonstration of a chemical process. English is not my first language, had a good education, obviously better than you. And this individual was simply showing people something he thought was cool. Dont like it? give it 1 star. And shut up because you made yourself look stopid. Its better to remaine quiet and look the fool, than open your mouth and remove all doubt.
By enamus 1221392649l think u understood what was being said in this clip u dont need to put the guy down even if u think its bogus?
By tellak 1221282636F**KING PIECE OF S**t LEARN HOW TO MAKE A PROPER SENTENCE STRUCTURE, IF YOU START BITCHING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE'S GRAMMAR, DUMB S**t .
By jjpie 1221771083Wow, this S**t is actually happened???
No way, u must took some of the spheres n' not from that.
Mm mm, it's couldn't b happening.
Look, I know what u have shown, n' it's not that, SORRY!

IONIZED salt does not exist dude... it is ioDized....wtf is poar hability? :|
By tudortm 1251845887WTF!?
what is it, never heard of it can some one tell me what it is and how to get it.
DUDE who posted this vid, i strongly recomend that u give more detail about it
MAKE THE VIDEO CAPTIONS. i LIKED THE SCROLING LOGO
By andonajohn 1250472315dude !!
after can i drink the water
will any one be able to see the marbles in the water...
There are some stupid people out there. I'm not even talking about the video, I'm talking about all of the retarded people on here who couldn't spell their way out of kindergarten. And what's with all of the sh*tty grammar? Aren't you H**os learning anything at all in school? You f*ggots are the beginning to be the breakdown of the English language, the most common codec in our means of communication. Communication is something you pus*y @$$ kids take far too much for granted these days... as you sit at home after school on the computer daddy and mommy bought for you posting your retarded comments, making arguments back and forth with no substance or research at all. Instead of wasting your time arguing your uneducated opinions on Metacafe, how about spending some time on homework?
By Keithro 1237675977first of all you can't sodium asetate by freezing it... second of all why thoes it gets pink??... third as all are saying that the balls at contact with air they become a little solid and the so nonsense polar ability which has nothing to do with this, for the record polar ability as u say it doesn't even exist, the only common word that comes to my mind is polarity which refers to the intermolecular forces between the slightly positively-charged end of one molecule to the negative end of another or the same molecule thoes this has to do with your experiment??? no, right an that term polar ability doesn'exist!! so don't bother yourself loking at fake vids, plz investigate don't be dumb for all who think it was real, and respect him as he is (stupid) but do not abuse. hope this opened your mind THX.
By razizoraxo 1236042359w8 so im guessin that u can make sodium acetate by just mixin baking soda and vinegar? then do u have to put it in the freezer? plz comment bak on i need help o.o
By xCh3rryJuice 1235105304Okay so what?i think is real. You think its fake?Make a video of this being fake and post the link up here
Test the experiment and get a life other than saying anything you can is fake
i swear if they'd find something that would be life changing everyone here would say its fake...
why dont you submit it to mythbusters and see if they can get the same result
By QUAKEMASTER 1226554339 just two questions
1.any scientific explanation for lab?
2.why water looses its polarity?
anybody please............
Yeaaa it was a hoax. He even meant it to be a hoax. Even look in his tags. It said hoax. And to all the people who are complaining that this is fake - it's fake, but you looked at it. Then you did it. So that means that it really looked real. I thought that was a really good illusion.
By xo-lollies-ox 1225949916yea yea yea ... he tricked you. but you guys fell for it, right ? thats waht i call an illusion. it really looked like waht it was supposed to be. so dont critisise him guys...
By xo-lollies-ox 1225859838If it actually is artificial (most of you disbelievers believe it's glass marbles) which I don't think it is wouldn't the marbles sink not float
By kabsta 1225787694I just tried it and it works if you dont beleive me try it yourself it costs less than 10$
By tylermc94 1225763134eat that thing?? coz looks like pearl where we usually put it into juice..
By bigdreamBOY 1225716213I don't have a problem with the experiment of the sharing of physics ideas, I have a serious problem with the design choice of that over the top illegible font. Cool stuff otherwise. ;)
By lemasney 1225515535the proces that the guy maked in the begening is fake....those r some litle balls that if kept in watter long enough they expand depending on the time spent in the water....they r used 4 placing fresh cut flovers in them to keep moist and fresh 4 a longer time.....
By mikypanda 1225475239Die. Just die. You can't spell, you can't make a decent trick, and your taste in "music" reminds me of people begging for food at highway offramps.
By ayeroxor 1225110995wouldn't the top of the liquid be somewhat solid or ball-like? etc.
does not make sense.
fake.
Watch for the 'water ball' that falls off his hand. Notice about 3-5 seconds later when it rolls off the table you hear a 'THUD' noise? that's the marble hitting the ground.
Fake.
Baking soda and White vinegar can produce a chemical product called sodium acetate. When heat right, it seconds it can turn to ice or if poured slowly will mound up into this white mount. Also it is called "hot ice" because it when it stiffens it heats up and is used in some of those pocket bagged hand warmers. So for those that say baking soda and vinegar do no thing but make foam, well don't talk till you tried it. Look up videos on making hot ice or making sodium acetate and do as it says and you'll see that what I explained is true. Now I kind of get the experiment but if sodium acetate is white how do the balls become clear and also in so round balls? Is it the salt? This is cool. Not a trick is it? Can someone who knows about the chemical process tell me how this works and also if someone has tried this experiment tell me if it really works like the video shows? Cool.
By dragon12345_6 1225008084Just don't mind them coz me being a filipino, i say their KSP, Kulang sa pansin. it means they just wanna get some attention, they don't read instructions properly
By Beehard44 1224068961is it fake or real?i think it is iodized salt not ionized salt n there is only calcium carbonate no calcium bicarbonate
By tna.kevin 1223656693you seriously ruined my day, i was tripping balls when i saw this, but since its not possible... a;slkdLKqj23lij1o23!!!!!!!!!!!!
By ultimatexpka 1223278537and I still have better grammar and spelling than most of you. Take advatange of your educational system. You probably spell moron "moran".
By tiojohn749 1222890202True that, 'English is my 2nd language.' It's hard to take somebody's opinion seriously when they can't even say it to you at a fourth-grade level.
By Keithro 1237676124Trebuie incercat. Sper sa gasim substantele necesare.
By altitude2008 1222414267I hope my students will get a new interest with chemistry
By neodanibageur 1221341350woow that was awsome!
i will try it for fun.....
more power guys!
teach us more. . hahahaha
I think I saw this same experiment on Captain Kangaroo which translates to one conclusion - Kids aged 10 and under are the only ones that would be gallable enough to believe this...LOL...! 229tom - settle this once and for-all ...... Make another video showing us what happens when you take that container and dump the whole thing on your table instead of using just your hand...LOL ------ I didn't think so...HA-Ha-Ha..!
By pen2guin3 1220825790totally fake dude. nice try.
next time try to make water come out from your mother!
Nice one dude, that was way funny. Very creative. I like how you took his claim, and then just added "your mother" to the end of it. I'll bet it must be even funnier in person. Fantastic joke. Keep the fresh stuff coming.
By Keithro 1237676284the Mixture he makes is has actually same light difracting index as glass, so when he puts glass marbles in they are not visible.
By Kyoka 1220743036The addition of Sodium bicarbonate and Acetic acid (baking soda and vinegar) will not produce Calcium acetate. Two, Calcium bicarbonate does not exist in a solid form. It is only found in solution. What may have been intended was calcium carbonate, which is simply chalk and is non-soluble in water. In the first reaction, sodium bicarbonate and aqueous acetic acid will yield the following: carbon dioxide, carbonic acid and NaCH3COO, also, water is present and produced in the course of this reaction.
By nexios 1220740414You were talking about the other balls...still...very cool.
By Viejo 1220673143You were talking about the other balls...still...very cool.
By Viejo 1220673022Whenever im low on ammo in my watergun fights i can get some Ionized salt some other crap and more crap and have water ball projectiles in 10 minutes? imagine a whole tank of that water.. i can throw endless waterballs without reloading! ok ill stfu now.. lol anyway have u tried putting that water in a watergun
By tri-me 1220532247The research for polar ability does not exixst so offer more explanation please is this vid true or fake i think its fake
By mudddober 1220319831what exactly is "polar hability"??
tried searching for that in wikipedia which gave me nothing. shouldn't it be polar ability? which by the way isn't very common when speaking of science terms
How about you try it, tape it and if it's wrong you post the video otherwise SHUT UP! God! Someone could give us the solution to energy and everyone would just S**t all over it..
By MarceloAbans 1225122586There's no way I was this irreverent and ignorant in high school. Open up your minds, and close your mouths for two seconds. Try researching the chemistry involved, or doing the experiment yourself. God forbid, you might learn something, kids.
By Keithro 1237677110Thanks for sharing this nice experiment.
And ignore the morons in the comments :)
BTW Its "Iodized" not "Ionized" salt ...
Eol, QA guy
Thats just a bunch of clear or pink tinted clear marbles in water. One of them actually bounces off the table. Nice try.
By Cpl. Chronic 1222833867So of course it's spelled LOOSES cuz your a moran.
can anyone tell me the title of the second song? thanks in advance ;)
By abdelmalik 1221078877Very interesting, never knew it was possible.!! Thanks for showing us all this interesting video ... good work.
