The History Channel launches a great new series, 50 Things you need to know about British History, with the Daily Telegraph.
There are a lots of things throughout our history which have made us who we are today. We could still be sending our children to work down coal mines had the Factory Acts not come into play, or we could be reading our daily newspaper in French had we not won at Waterloo. It is these events and many more which have shaped how we live our lives today and this new series identifies 50 of them.
