We are going to miss you a lot! and for those who think that ronaldinho is way better than Zidane, You really don't know what the hell your talking about. Zizous plays his game simple, he makes the most diffcult moves so simple its ridiculuos. Ronladinho plays his game in different style with hype. But that doesn't make him better than zizou the legend.

They play for their country, they like their country, they were welcomed like heroes after the world cup. In France everybody has forgiven Zidane because he has done so much for his country.

you can see from that video that no one can take his greatness and geniousity out of his legs, even not a bad behaviuore like he showed in his last game. you can condemnt his actions, but not the marvelles way he palyed all through his career. once in tow decades we can see a star shine whithin the football filed, and zidan defenitly was shinning all along. I see more and more people not criticizing french but being racists with french people and i dont know why . Why so much anger against this country ? what did they do ? why people are always insulting my country i dont understand this type of behaviour. too much people insult France without having their and talk to french people. All the foreigners I met in France were all happy to see that we 're not as they have always heard about us. I don't even understand why people try to withdraw what belong to this country. I mean i see lots of people saying Zidane is not French. Of course he is, that's right his family is born in Algeria but he leaved his entire life in Marseille, like all people in the french team. France is like the USA, a big melting-pot and that's its strengh so stop saying that france stole all good people from around the world and that the french who are not black or arabian are dumbass cause its completely stupid and you judge without knowing, in France we love our team no matter if they are black or white, no problem of racism. It's you (especially american people as I see) who have a problem with us ... maybe you should not follow everything that is said about us... Speaking of racial composition, I think that is what Thuram Lilian said to Le Pen. Some thing like "Some French are black and some are White....". The fact that France became the best team of the tournament is a result of recognizing the strength of diversity. And this should be a lesson to others. The composition of the French team speaks, if you will, to the intellegence of the French (identifying and capitalizing on strength) and not to their weakness. I think it is much better if other countries also try to build great teams than resort to diving and boring game strategies. French or no French team France was the best. It is sad that they didn't win the cup just because football does not take into account game statstics in deciding who wins.

No way, brasil had the best team in the world cup hands down. italy had a shocking team and they still won with there ability to dive and insult key players. France had a great team of old heros. It's good to see that they managed to come second as half there team wont see another world cup. You can't judge the teams based on what position they came in the world cup. If that was the case then germany would have been the second best team in the last world cup over france and the argies who were clearly the favourites (and best teams).
Brasil played poorly this time round, considering there ability and yet they still only lost by 1 goal to france who practiaclly won the world cup. It really sickens me how everyone seems to bandwagon on teams based on how they perform in the world cup. Everyone prior to the world cup was chanting brasil, now brasil dont even get a mention when they are still clearly the best team in the world. All of a sudden france is the in-thing, when prior to the world cup and during half the world cup everyone wouldnt even murmour the word france!
Do people here actually follow football / play it, etc or do they just follow trends? the two best teams in the past 12 years has clearly been brasil and france and in that order. Argies have come close here and there and are still probably the second or third best team in the world right now. Soccer is a low scoring sport, you cant base your opinion of a team because they got knocked in the knock out stage of the world cup by one goal or penalities / extra time!

i am an avid soccer fan i was born in nigerian and currently play soccer for a college team in the US. I have noticed a trend with soccer vids on here. People argue about vids and resort to racial slurs. Why the stupidity, we r all grown ups and if you detest someones vid make your own. As for bringing ronaldinho into the arguement that is irrelevant the vid is for Zidane and for the record both players are better than everyone argueing about them. And why you can argue from now til chicken grow teeth they'd still make more money than any of you. no offense to anyone. as for the fact that france has an all black team who gives a fuck no where in fifa regulations is that illegal. I do not enjoy such discussions considering that i am african and they are racially charged. if we are all to be civil respect others by not resorting to racial slurs like a bunch of overfed kids and comment on the vid at hand. Even though he headbutted Materazzi, and yes it was a sad way to end his career, I still respect him no matter what. Materazzi deserved it because he's done this before. When Ukraine played Italy, he tried to provoke Andrey Shevchenko by saying to him "watch ur face" a bunch of times. Shevchenko had some surgery on his face and I guess Materazzi was making fun of that fact (I don't know the whole story). Even though Ukraine still lost, this is not a fair way to play. Football is a sport not a "yo mama" jokes competition. Players should use their skills, not their dirty mouths. Also, Materazzi is considered to be one of the players that does the most fouls. There's a video here on Metacafe of his fouls. He gave some guy a bloody eye or somethin like that. Unlike Materazzi, Zidane's a legend, and he will always be.... Some think that he is now a shame to France because of what he did but the people of France still love him. The president of France congratulated Zizou for winning second place, and that is a very huge success too,,, well obviously not as big as winning the Cup but still... Zidane's one of my favourite football stars, and I am upset that we will no longer be able to see him play but I am sure that he will always be remembered as one of the best.
