That is def. not funny. I have the same exact phobia as her. Every time I see a balloon I want to shoot myself or something because I'm so terrified. My family knows not to have any balloons at their parties. You are all [most of...] rude.

There was a study made, ages ago, about why certain people fear things. This study was banned when they did the tests on small children. Basically what happened was they did test to make the children become uncontrollably afraid of everyday objects. So, who's to say that these people had not become afraid of everyday objects in a natural setting?

I have the exact same phobia. I am absolutely terrified of Balloons. I hate them. I leave parties if there are balloons there. I know exactly how she feels when Maury brings out all the balloons. Although I am ok with the foil ones. Its latex balloons that I am terrified of.
