PORTA AU PRINCE, Haiti (Sept. 8, 2008) Personnel from USS Kearsarge work with the U.S. Army, USAID, and Haitians to deliver World Food Program (WFP) bulk food packages which include rice, beans, cooking oil, flour and high energy biscuits to the people of Haiti by unloading international aid from USS Kearsarge Landing Craft Units (LCU) in Port au Prince harbor, Haiti. America’s contribution to the relief efforts were coordinated by the United states Agency for International development and its’ Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance.
