The Dolgeville Restaurant in Dolgeville, N.Y. collapses t into the East Canada Creek because of all of the flooding over there. The the two-story building first collapsed and then fell into the creek.

Question for americans
(I'm not kidding) In Europe we have almost all buildings made in concrete.You live in a country which has every year some major thunderstorms that can crush everything at ground zero.Why keeping to build houses with wood?
BTW: obviously, even if this restaurant was made of concrete nothing may have changed: no earth under it.
