Superboy Prime is a great villain and I’m glad he’s getting another shot. How he’s brought into the story is really funny, with him going to the Superman museum and a hologram Jimmy Olsen telling him how insignificant he was. We know that’s what really gets him riled up so the results aren’t that surprising. The parallel between Superman and his effect on the members of the Legion of Superheroes and Superboy Prime and how he inspired the Legion of Villains is really interesting. It provides the perfect home for Superboy Prime. He finally has people that acknowledge and revere him for his beliefs and want to follow him. On the flip side the legion provides the perfect object for his hatred loving everything he despises. The real payoff happens at the end of the book when the three different versions of the Legion show up, because I had gotten real into the latest version of the legion that started a few years ago and was disappointed not to see them in the beginning. They are who I am familiar with and invested in. Geoff Johns is as incredible as always and this is the final crisis tie in I am most excited about. Distributed by Tubemogul.
