after i watched this
i cried

I put on nice gown, put up my hair, put on a make up only to look miserable and ridiculous during a violin solo session. I just can't stop crying. And I cant control it either. You just let go..

Similar to (and borrows themes from) several movies, most notably "Karate Kid" and "The Competition", the latter stars Amy Irving and Richard Dreyfus and is about a piano competition. While not a music flick, Scott Bayo overcame adversity and had the mentor in the first couple of KK movies before they went off track. I wonder if there is more to this video and we are only seeing a compilation, or is what we saw what it was intended to be from the start?

Actually, Beethoven had ups and downs with his deafness for many years, but by the time the Ninth Symphony premiered in Vienna, he was profoundly deaf. I love this commercial, which is all about determination, persistence, and refusal to be deterred by harassment and violence. Is the malicious piano-playing girl the violinist's older sister? She enlists her pals to rough up the girl and smash her violin? Her gloweing, hostile look, as she stands surrounded the awestruck audience members, says it all—pure jealousy.

Might very easily learn to play violin or other stringed instrument
because the vibrations that make the music from the strings will
be transmitted to the skin and bone structure of the neck and head. The different tones and pitches would feel different and the player would use the differences to "hear" the music. After all, the ear converts vibrations into sound for the otic nerves to the brain to interpet as sound. This is a commercial but it is also an example of human ability to overcome handicaps.

Really loves this commercial.. deaf girl never heard any sound/voice just only using her feel..
