The "Getaway Girl", Roni Taylor goes cayoneering for the first time in Zion National Park in Springdale, Utah. This was a secret canyon that the outfitters, Zion Adventure Company, found and because of that it was beautifully maintained and nearly untouched. We had to hike a pretty long way through Snake Alley to get to the launch point. We did two repels down the side of a beautiful slick rock canyon and then had to "crab walk" through tight slot canyons to get to the next repel. I was unsure of my willingness to put my life in the hands of an outfitter but realized it was even more unnerving to trust my own strength to get myself through the slot canyons.
