- I think in this case everyones a hero.
  Sharp & Clear traffic controller, A very calm and supportive co-pilot, effecient flight attendants for crowd control, cooperative passengers and thousands of priceless prayers had given the captain a steady heart, mind and hands to bring everyone to safety. That honor is for everyone.

  I remember when this happened....they flew out over the water, dumped their fuel, then came back and circled until they were almost empty. Then the pilot came in as slow as possible, kept the nose up for as long as possible, then as soon as the front wheels were down, let it coast to a stop under reverse without hitting the wheel brakes, which would have put more pressure on the nose wheels. The man was fricken fantastic! Your ticket dollars at work....this is what they are trained for, and he came through under pressure.

  Most of the fuel is carried ahead of the main gear... Dumping it takes the weight off the nose gear....

A320 Don't have fuel dump system!!!
A320s do not have fuel dump capability I never saw a dump vent, looking at the fuel control panel on the overhead in UAs A320 Cockpit Lights and Switches Study Guide, there is no fuel dump control switch, or anywhere else in the flight deck.
It has a max takeoff gross of 166.4, and a max landing weight of 142.2. However, it has advance overweight landing capability like any other manual set.

Who saw the Orentation of the nose wheel first? Does the Control room Crew have their sight on wheels too? If so, its really fantastic Job... But What abt the post flying crew done? Any why a vry gd gd job by the PILOT... HATS OFF

The nose wheel was down but vertical to the landing direction .
I wonder what would happen ; if it was stuck down diagonocally ?
I don't know the serie of the moovements of the nose wheel when it comes down normaly .

Too Common
This problem was not the first occurence for this model aircraft. However, more seriously, this aircraft DOES NOT have the ability to dump fuel in flight. I have been in other aircraft where this was done (several times, in fact). The European design has some endemic flaws.

Not luck...
Although this is an "emergency" situation, this same situation had happened a couple of times prior in the US (not certain of occurances in other countries). Fortunately the nose gear strut is built like a tank which is why it didn't collapse on landing. Any typed (typed means qualified for that particular airplane) pilot would have been able to do the same. After this episode, JetBlue mechanics worked with Airbus to redesign the nosewheel retraction system to prevent this from happening again.

  I'd say 80% skill, 20% luck. See how gently he laid the front of that aircraft down on the gear. If the runway had been eggs he wouldn't have broken them. Landing gear is built VERY TOUGH - with this exact possibility in mind.
