I never knew there were metals that were this volatile in water. I wonder what would happen if you tossed a whole bucket of this stuff into a swimming pool.

after a while it started to burn with colors and exploded!!!!!
it happened cause the alkali metals arethe most reactin metals in the periodic table.
The problem is you will not find pure Alkali Metals anywhere, maybe Potassium but anything past that like Cesium are kept in lab's with special equipment because they react badly with air alone. So give up hope.

what is the ratio of metal to water dose it take to have a good reaction. Such as will a mist set it off or do you need to soak the metal? how volitial it each type of metal when introduced to water?
