  • is it same?

between the power to turn on AC and the energy needed to make ice cubes??
if both of them equal this machine are not more efficient.
    Btw nice one. 5 stars

  • heat heat heat

you could use a wheat bag heated in the microwave instead.. and it stays hotter longer and is heaps safer. :P

  • cool but inefficient.

if i am feeling hot and need to cool down, i would just make myself a nice drink with the ice i have, instead of going through all that trouble to make an ac. also, if i need something warm, i just heat something up in the microwave oven.

also, i was at first curious at how you would put a cool/hot function in there, and i didnt expect the ice/hot water. i think its cool and smart, but would be inefficient.

  • i saw this on mythbusters...

only if the water is pure and without impurities, like distilled water, besides ive super heated tap water many times for noodles or hot chocolate and have never had it explode on me.

  • Some Advice

Never heat up water in a microwave. Heated water can blow out of a cup if the surface tension of the water is broken or pierced by an object like a knife or fork if the water is too hot causing scalding to the skin. Just boil water on the stove or get hot water from the tap safely instead.

    • Don't know about water...

...but what you said happened to me with milk. I got a very painful burn. I put a spoon to stir the liquid & BAM it exploded out of the cup.

      Be careful out there :)

Colder if you us a chunk of Dry Ice and it evaporates so no wet mess

    • er

dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide, if you use that in a sealed room it will displace oxygen, starting from the floor and working it's way up. which means you could push all the oxygen out of a room if you used it enough...

      just a thought.

  • Congrats

You managed to create a system that is more inefficient than an air conditioner, and more inefficient than a nat gas heater. Someone get this guy a nobel prize, it's good to know we can make things less efficient. F**k the grandchildren, think of what we could have for ourselves!

How much money it costs a stove? And an air conditioner? On the tutorial costs about $ 7. If you do get a cheaper and more efficient, tell me, I'll give you my Nobel Prize.

I don't know about others, but I count it to be a good contribution in making this world a little better place to live in. Keep it up bro :)
