but some had to be there to program the robots. someone has to be there to repair the robot. And, no matte what you say, as long as humans are involved, robots will make mistakes just like a human would. You will never completely take the manpower out of work.

For the millions of folks who no longer have a job (as well as many 'jobs' still on the payroll but not really functional) you still pay through the nose. Unlike most folks, once your with the UAW, your employment bennies last forever, and if not the few folks that actually still have functional jobs 'strike'. Meanwhile, GM, Ford, and Chysler all 'go under', which daisy chains through the whole economy as the machines fall silent. Sorry about the impact on those not in the 'brotherhood'.
UAW like everyone else better remain flexible, and available to retrain for 'greener' employment.

back in the good ole days, when we actually had jobs. We were told these robots would simply make our lifes easier and they were not there to replace us but just to help us increase productivty. So yeah we voted in our unions to allow them. We made the mistake of not listening to the people who warned us we were being lied to.m These robots even though they are a big help have helped to put a lot of workers out of jobs. Now the carmakers are getting the Karma they deserve for being so greedy. Unfortunately the workers who still had jobs there are now the ones paying the price.

its hard to get jobs nowdays! unemployments may be favourable to the employers, but its not favourable for us or the society, no jobs= no money-= no food= CRIME

we just put up with the shoddy workmanship of spoiled, whining, overpaid UAW pukes. Here's to the robots, that don't complain, don't call in sick on Mondays, don't carry grudges and don't go on strike.

it was when more real people had JOBS!!! now YOU have the monstrosities to build them who knows what could be wrong with these cars if i thought my vehicle was built by those things i would not get it !!!!
