    Ronaldhino, as a midfielder, plays 0 defense. He is the best dribbler (w/ CRonaldo), but he turns the ball over far too much (as seen in the WCup). He doesn't compare to players like Steven Gerrard and Pavel Nedved whose all around game is much better. To say Ronal is the best is like saying Hot Sauce from And1 is the best basketball player in the world simply because he is flashy.

      you gotta give me better reasons than those!! 1) Barca has Deco, Etoo (top goalscorer 2 yrs in row) and a host of superstars so NO Ronal didnt do it alone. 2) ANYONE who watched the Champions League Final knows Ronal was HORRIBLE! HE DOESNT SHOW TO THE BIGGEST GAMES! Even Henry and Wenger said he didnt show up. 3) Pele says Gerrard is the best. 4) i never said HotSauce was an NBA player. 5) Zidane umm has proven that he can show up in Champions League Final, and 2 world cups...       Real Madrid had a host of superstars where did they get last season? I did'nt say Ronaldinho did it alone, I said almost. 2) Pele said a few months ago that Zidane has been the best player of the last decade but that in recent years Ronaldinho has been the most brilliant 3) Ronaldinho had a very good world cup 2002 ( remember the incredible goal against England, plus he made a bunch of assists). 4) Gerrard was far from amazing in the last worldcup, in fact all the english team had a lackluster performance. Bottom line man, Roni is an incredible player who will defenitely have his place in football history just like a bunch of brazilian players b4 him, plus he still has at least 8 more years in front of him to accomplish great things in the sport. Once again why the hell would they name him Fifa player of the year twice and award him the golden ball if he was only a good dribbler? That makes no sense g.
      What I was saying for the basketball comparison is that you could of mention a flashy NBA player like Jason Williams for instance an not a street player. Ronaldinho is not a street football player but a professional one.

      ronal is great, i just dont think hes the best, top 5 at best. its the 0 defense that gets to me, and how he seems to have 1 brilliant game out of 10. in the last few yrs, i dont see how u could put him above henry, gerrard, lampard, or even his teammate etoo. and the world player award i liken to the NBA MVP with Nash, which is ridiculous. i admit, he did have a solid Wcup02. But for all the ads and posts with his flashy dribbling and lackluster shot, he doesnt back up the hype. The only ppl who think he's the best are those who get to see his 1 game breakout offensive highlights every month (like his brilliant 2 goal game vs Real). They dont see his inconsistency.

      1) those stats are accurate for league only. For 2005-2006, Gerrard tallied 23 goals in all competitions, including 4 in 6 FA cup games. Ronal to his credit had 25 goals in all competitions. But I reitterate, this is only offensive. Please tell me Gerrard's stellar defense does not make up for this? (Im a Gerrard fan as you can tell). 2) also, this dont mean much, but after he received his 2nd Fifa award, humble as he may be, even Ronal admitted "I don't even feel I'm the best at Barça." 3) Finally, go to youtube.com and look up Gerrard's top 10 goals, and his performances in the FA Cup and how he led Liverpool over Milan in Champions League Final 2 years ago, plus he had 2 goals in his lackluster Wcup. (I admit tho... your arguments are inching Ronal higher in my books)
