      i respect them and everything, they're a great team(specially totti and pirlo) but i wouldnt brag about ur title too much. u may have won the world cup, and so have 6 other countries. besides...i really think italy won tht last game by luck. france had the pressure on italy the whole time. in extra time italy stoped their defending and started attacking hoping to cheat france the same way the cheated germany. at the end trezegue's penalty hit the post and that was the only reason why france lost.

    I thought it was a great match with 2 great teams, and could have gone either way. Zidane should not have done what he did no matter what was said. Otherwise, the other team knows that all they have to do is provoke you, and they might get you to do something to hurt your team. I'm a fan of the game, not caring which team won, because the team here (USA) sucks and will never be competitive. We don't live and breathe the sport here, and I doubt it will ever be that big in the States. Nice job to both teams for a well-played game !

      Surely France played better than Italy, but not as much as you believe. They won in ball possession but they didn't have so many clear occasion to score. Italy had the strongest defense (just 1 goal from their own defender and penalties) and a good midfield. They didn't play well but they had a great willpower, hart strength and a bit of luck...this is soccer...
      Zidane is a great player and surely had been provoked. Materazzi has a way to play and behave I don't like, in our league he punched another player...
