    How many people realise that it wasn't one moon landing but 6? Heres some history for you:
    Six of the missions -- Apollos 11 (1969), 12 (1969), 14 (1970), 15 (1971), 16 (1971) and 17 (1972) -- went on to land on the moon, studying soil mechanics, meteoroids, seismic, heat flow, lunar ranging, magnetic fields and solar wind. Apollos 7 and 9 tested spacecraft in Earth orbit; Apollo 10 orbited the moon as the dress rehearsal for the first landing. An oxygen tank explosion forced Apollo 13 to scrub its landing.

    If it was a hoax why repeat the event so many times?

    As for evidence of the many journeys, the conspiracy theorists are quick to point at the old technology of the early photos as proof, yet a lot less keen to view the hundreds of photos from the later missions. From the apollo 17 landing alone there are some 150 photos on NASA's website.

    The evidence is huge, photos, videos, the 12 people who have walked on the moon (2 people per moon landing), the tons of moon rock, the reflector that can still be targetted to this day, the hundreds of thousands of people involved and the tons of detailed information gathered. It is simply beyond belief to try and claim the moon landings were a hoax.

      The same kind of people that call the Holocaust a hoax. The engineers planned the moonlanding for years. They deliberately planned the route and time of the journey to be completed where and when the Van Allen belt was too weak to cause any problem. Van Allen himself was involved in the planning.

      9/11 on the other hand may have not been a hoax but there is lack of evidence backing up the government's claims and tremendous evidence pointing to the neocons doing it. Right off the bat their carting away all the rubble and their performing very little investigation is enough to raise more than just NYPD and NYFD eyebrows who protested being thrown off the cleanup job.

    Sometime somewhere someone said that a large telescope will be built by 2008. If built it will be able to spot the US flag planted on the moon. Just can't wait! Or, why not have someone land a rover and look for foreign debri. Just my 2 cents worth.

      there is a station in the Australian outback which has a soul purpose of shooting up an infa red ray to a computorised mirror on the moon, which was put there by one of the apollo missions. The reason it is in the outback isn't because it is out of the way and near to impossible to determine if its real or not but its because this is the one of the least polluted areas in the world which means there is no light pollution to interfere with the ray.
      This ray is then deflected back from the moon to the station which, from this, can tell how far away the moon is from earth thus being able to predict tidal action etc.
      Perhaps you are thinking that this could of been put there by satellite?
      This is impossible because the position of this 'mirror' has to be absoulety perfect for this to work. Plus its likely it would have been damaged if it landed in a satellite.
      I am always open for ideas and if you still think this can be explained then please go ahead but i beleive that this is proof man landed on the moon.
      would also like to add how we have tons of Moon Rock if we never went on the moon?
      People think that the NASA scientists created them. However I think it is impossible to be able to age something millions upon millions of years seeing as they were some of the oldest substance man has ever tested.
      Once again please challenge me if you feel you can make a point, I obviosly think we landed there but apart from that i am stating fact.

    I don't fault you for NOT being born in the 50's, or 60's, but calling the moon landing a "hoax" is pure ignorance! READ A BOOK!

    There was this thing that happened in the 60's called "the space race". Every major country with cash did everything they could to make history in space. The Russians won that race. Americans acknowledge that cos they were watching (with the rest of the world).

    HOWEVER... if the Americans DIDN'T land on the moon, wouldn't EVERY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD have HARD CORE evidence that would damn the Yankees into global embarrassment? There ISN'T any, except for the rumblings of haters and doubters. NO PROOF... cos there ISN'T any!

    The moon is IMPOSSIBLE to get to, you say? Damn. Well, I guess there won't be any rocket scientists in the near future! You kids are so plain-in-the-head, it isn't funny. But, then again, "ignorance is bliss"... and I laugh at your stupidity.

      seriously kiddo, the "moon landing" was powered by a computer less advanced than what's in a GameBoy Color...I seriously doubt the ship made it to the moon. and I haven't seen any substantial proof SUPPORTING the "landing" either...like, I dunno, a picture of the friggin flag! we have telescopes powerful enough to see the until now undiscovered rings around Uranus, but still no pics of the US flag by the Sea of Tranquility.

      Face it...the landing was staged as a morale booster for the Americans. don't worry, we'll get there someday...but we gotta work on getting off the ground and STAYING off the ground first.

      please, prove me wrong...and, no, mudslinging and calling me an "F'ing loser" won't help your case

      "Unfortunately the answer to this question is no. Not even the most powerful telescopes ever made are able to see these objects. The flag on the moon is 125cm (4 feet) long. You would require a telescope around 200 meters in diameter to see it. The largest telescope now is the Keck Telescope in Hawaii at 10meters in diameter. Even the Hubble Space telescope is only 2.4 meters in diameter. Resolving the lunar rover, which is 3.1 meters in length, would require a telescope 75 meters in diameter. So our backyard 6 inch and 8 inch telescopes are not even going to come close!"

      A telescope is designed to see objects at great distances, not to focus on tiny details. Its like trying to use a pair of binoculars to view bacteria, wrong tool for the job.

      Why don't NASA go back and have a look and prove the point? Apart from the huge cost and no benefit, they've got much better things to be doing with their time than returning to the giant rock.

      Well I do think not believing in the moon landing is stupidity, the same as not believing in evolution, it just plain ignorance (this is not an insult; mind you that we are all born ignorant).
      It’s not just because it “says so” on the TV, which is just one of many different ways of gathering information today. It makes me wonder what kind of “proof” do you required. Like going to the Moon yourself, unfortunately I can’t deliver that you, and those few who could won’t. So it is up to you to gather information and raise yourself from your state of ignorance by applying a methodology to your research using common sense. You will then see there are a lot of proofs from geology (they did bring moon rocks, you know) to a historical/political (the Russians did have and have the means to disprove the moon landing, but that never happen, I wonder why?).
      In my case I have done some googleling in the net, I read about the conspiracy theories and their so call “proofs” from the most ridiculous ones to the most creative ones but none of them could withstand the scrutiny of common sense.
