True to life!
This is the Princess Juliana airport located on the French-Dutch island of Saint Martin, or Sint Maarten east of Puerto Rico. What you see here is the Maho Bay beach. In spite of the low flying planes and constant noise, they still build hotels on the island and don't make a big fuss about it like they would elsewhere!

  this creates a big safety risk since the pilot is usually checking out the babes instead of focusing on the runway. CLOSE IT DOWN or bomb the country is what I say. Good ole American bravado.

It's cool there....
In the background you can see a brown building on the beach. It's a outisde bar that has all the tower/pilot radio convo pumped thru their own speakers so you can hear what is going on. Big planes don't fly in all day long...maybe 2-3 a day, and the bar has the schedule. Most of the day is filled with smaller commuter type planes....and, FWIW, it is a topless beach and sometimes you get to enjoy watching more then just airplanes there while having a beer.
