Adam Hammond a 26-year-old U.S. Army parachutist from Ohio was severely injured when his parachute didn’t deploy correctly. He hit the ground in excess of 45 miles an hour. His injuries left him battling chronic pain. In attempts to control his pain, this young man has become the first person in the world to be implanted with the world’s smallest neurostimulator for chronic pain, the Eon Mini, which is roughly the size of a silver dollar.
