  as much as I love dogs, in this case the dog should be kept to a minimum weight. He might not be able to balance himself if he is too heavy. And besides being naturally skinny for his breed, he is also exerting twice the amount of a normal four legged walking dog. That is a lot of energy being burnt and correct me if I'm wrong but greyhounds or pooch are not big eaters.
