when he drops it it sounds plastic, if it was metal it would have made a thud. Plus his reaction was staggered. Good editing with 1 sound clip but not perfect. And us metacafians will tear you apart for it.

i investigated this further... i broke it apart... my conclusion is that

2.gun drop sounds plastic
3. he threw it back, it did not fly back( watch closely and slow it down..

my bb gun is more realistic than that. its from tokyo marui, and its all metal with 6mm BB, u cant tell its fake. even the blowback is real, with gas going out all the way.
anyway, depends on the pownder u will not see a flash, if its black pownder there is a flash, but if its a white pownder even at night u will not see a flash. and glocks are black, they are plastic, but its black, cant think this silver one is even close to a glock.

It doesnt even sound like a gun, because I have shot guns before, and that is not the sound that a gun would make anywhere. If it was a gun, he wouldn't be waving it around so easily: guns are heavy, and they do not SOUND LIKE THAT. I wouldnt trust that dumbass around a real gun, though.

That was a Hollywood gun sound, anyone who's been to the range know they don't sound like that. The gun sounded pretty plastic on landing and real guns have some mass to them; should have been a thud. There was no flash, no smoke, and no holding his ringing ears (firing guns indoors not recommended without hearing protection). Last, but not least, that pistol looked like a 1911 .45, but 45's don't have anywhere near that much kick even with p rounds.

9mm's don't sound like that. That sounded like a high caliber rifle.

First, the hammer didn't move when the guy pulled the trigger. I have 3 semi-auto handguns. All M1911 replicas or repros (as this one is) are double action. Meaning? You have hammer action at the rear of the upper receiver. You can pull the hammer back and then pull the trigger for single action. Or you leave the hammer forward and the first part of double action draws the hammer back as you squeeze the trigger, the second drops the hammer to fire the round. Check it out frame by frame in a download.

3. The sound of the weapon firing is faked and added OVER the track. I have similar files. Listen to the slight reverb/echo in the file. A real weapon firing INSIDE on a small microphone like this video cam COMPLETELY overloads the microphone. Plus a weapon inside sounds almost like it is hollow. like setting off a firecracker in a barrel.

First of all, when he C**ks tha gun, the hammer isn't pulled back. Second, there is no fireball, smoke or ejected cartridge seen in the video. Third, the sound doesn't match the video, the sound of the shot comes after the recoil, now if you believe that the gun would recoil faster than the time it would take the sound to reach the micophone, then maybe you just refuse to accept the laws of physics. Fourth, listen to the echo from the shot, this sound was recorded outdoors and obviously added to the video later. Lastly, has anyone ever seen a gun recoil all the way behind the shooter? I didn't think so. Even the strongest of recoils, oh say from a 44 Magnum, would push the gun back a foot at most, there is no way a 9mm could recoil the gun, and this kids arm, back that far. If you still think this is real, you obviously know nothing about guns.

As mentioned before, the hammer on the gun would have been cocked if it were real, and if you look closely, he was not pulling the trigger - certainly not enough to discharge a double-action handgun either. There was no blur of the slide cycling when it supposedly went off. The sound clip used for the gunshot was noticeably out of sync, and included sustain and reverberation that are not realistic for shooting a gun in a small room. Discussion of the caliber is irrelevant and useless.

No flame, no smoke and if you freeze frame it the sound starts after the gun begins to recoil. In fact the sound doesn't even end until the gun is out of his hand.

If you look carefully at the gun after he pulls the slide back, the hammer should be cocked. It doesn't appear to be cocked.

the sound was from a high powered rifle in an outdoor open area...there's an echo...there's no muzzle flash, but the room is bright...i've never shot a 9mm that kicked like that, unless the real noise scared him and he let go...the sound of the slide action sounds authentic and he did pull the trigger...he's a little old to be playing hero with a real gun...i stopped doing that when i was 4

So I downloaded it and watched it frame-by-frame and this is what I saw: Not only did the slide never move but he closed his eyes in anticipation before his arms even go back.
But I gave it two stars because it made me laugh. :)
