I wonder what voltage they are working with? I work on power lines and have to deal with 13,200 volts and I've seen some horrific accidents. That flash vaporizes the metal (commonly aluminum and/or copper) and turns it to plasma, which for a milisecond is hotter than the surface of the sun. You are flash-fried in it. And for those who are really curious,it's a long drawn out death or a lifetime of pain and suffering if you happen to breath in when it flashes. Not just the heat will kill you. Vaporized aluminum is toxic.

i see alot of switchgear like this and from the way the guy is trying to rack this one in it looks like it maybe closed, therefore sealing his fate. i'd say this is anywhere from 4Kv-33Kv

  • You are not working with electricity

You are lying to us. You are not working with electricity. If you were, you would know to call it High Voltage, not tension ;)
