Saroja (2008) is a critically panned Tamil film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, who also directed the film Chennai 600028. The film revolves around the adventures of four carefree friends who are forced into a life-threatening situation. T. Shiva produced the film under his AMMA Creations banner. Shiva, Vaibhav Reddy, Premji Amaran, S. P. B. Charan, Vega Tamotia, Kajal Aggarwal, Sampath, Nagendran, Prakash Raj and Jayaram star in the lead roles. Saroja's score and soundtrack were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is Venkat Prabhu's cousin. Critics in India and overseas have called Saroja a "refreshing tale," praising its direction, editing, and screenplay.
