In the vice-presidential debate, Palin claimed that Alaska under her has accounted for “much progress towards getting our nation energy independence:” Alaska's share of domestic energy production is only 3.5 percent. Almost all of it is oil. Alaska's percentage of U.S. oil production fell from 18 percent in 2005 to 13 percent in 2008.

  • Alaskan Politics

Being an Alaskan myself, I can tell you that Sarah Palin is being very much Alaskan. There has always been dishonesty in the politics in Alaska. There is very little middle class, and there are thousands of homeless people, to include 7,000 homeless vets. There are native Alaskans who have been robbed of everything to include the land and mineral and oil rights, and the list goes on and on and on.
The Alaskan way is to be in defiance of the Federal Government. This state needs to be investigated for many things to include the immagration that is under the redar. The military experiements, the $100,000+ incomes of the state paid workers and the lower wages of the federal workers. The 96 cultures that live in a city of 400,000, and where did they come from? They are given jobs, homes, stipends to stay and help create the rich and the poor, eliminating the middle class.
I think a lot more than Sarah Palin needs to be checked out. It is my hope, and has been for the 12 years that I have lived here, that someone would investigate and regulate what is going on here.
People in the lower 48 think that immagration is coming from the south? Think again. The gateway is Alaska.
