particularly when third party programmers made it so that you could build pretty much any form (like, what can this do other than a calculator?) or character set that you wanted. Also, I believe the "pen" is outrageously expensive and hasn't come down in price over a 2 year sales period.

Dont judge what this pen can do ... wat its next generation can do ... this technology is gonna develope ... we meet get real LCD Projector pen with internet and infra red light sensor keyboard just in a "pen" ... we can view the metacafe videos on it .... :D

Ever wonder if this is just some pen with a button...and behind the guy is someone else pressing buttons on a computer calculator which is making the sounds...

where was this product when I had an exam in Geometry, Trigo and calculus last high school. I could've partied more XD

The sound isnt working on my puter so this just seems like a cumbersome pen visually.
And it looks like the human operative still has the laborious job of heaving this bit of kit about to make it write.
Now a voice operated pen........

Back in 1974 I think It was i bought a texas instrument scientific calculator for $150 canadain.. Today the same thing might cost $15.00

first: it takes too long to make the calculation
second: it talks! i hate that kind of things
third: it can only make basic calculations
fourth: it must cost a fortune and does nothing!

completely useless, i have seen some interesting inventions lately but everything is useless, more complicated, than the usual stuff, what happened have the man ran out of ideas

Sure, the technology is impressive, but the calculator function is more of a gimmick than useful. A more intuitive application of this technology would be for the user to simply write out the math problem; ie. 65 x 32 = and have the program then voice out the answer (2,080).
