- 6 strings
  basses can have anywhere from 4 to 6 strings. The 5th string is a lower string from the E string and the 6th is higher, so it is actually a base just has more tone variety.

  i played a 14 string before in music maker.
  it was a seven string but with doubled lines
  which are a bitch to play on bass

  The thing about that, though, is that those strings are awfully light... I don't know. The video quality's just too bad to be able to tell.
