this concept won the first place of a nokia's contest (seeking for new, unseen, innovative designs and ideas). 3DGE87 was right. the issue right now is the power supply. also, polymer technology can make the casing of the phone flexible, but to make all the electrical stuff that flexible, it's still a huge issue.

This stuff is fresh, its a screan that can bend almost just as paper, think of "minority report" This tech is not something of the future, it is in the now, so far they only have black and white images, the big issue they are having is where to put the power supply, and how to make it a touchscreen.

  Article in Popular Science last month, about an American researcher on the East coast somewhere. Invented a new type of battery, where the electrons are stored - instead of on copper or carbon molecules, as normal - on engineered viruses. Yeah, I know - but that's what it said. Anyhow, it held a lot more power than normal batteries, was paper thin, flexible, and see through - looked like a piece of tape. You could even put it on top of the screen, and see through it.

while there are screens as flap and flex as this there there are no phones avalibale or unconstruction that i have seen!

it looks like a students media project, nice idear and carried of just using stills is intresting. plus it allowed for the motion graphics to be made easer than if the camera was moving about!
