Quick ripen your fruit and vegetables. This really works! Fruits and veggies emit a chemical into the air as they ripen. If you capture this chemical and the fruit/veggies are surrounded by it, the chemical will trick the fruit/veggie into ripening quicker than it normally would in open air.

this
is a very common practice of fruit vendors and growers alike. The brown paper bag protects the fruit from insects as well as to too much exposure to sunlight yet the pores in the paper allows moisture from the fruit to pass. it is authentic!
