- The truck was speeding
In china you drive by your senses. You see no car you turn. There are rules but not enough of policemen to cover the big city. Mos of the roads are without traffic light or signs nor lines. The car was at fault for driving then make a slow motion turn. The truck indeed was speeding based on the magnitude of the crash-landing on the side.

- Both drivers were not right!!
The incident small car turn left from the 2nd lane which is not supposed for turn left.The lorry was drove too fast and the driver was not intended to stop but the small car kept going...!!! I stayed in China time always see the drivers never follow the traffic rules. Dunno why the gov. never do anything to stop these. Maybe the population in China is too high, life is not important in their eyes.

I have stayed in shanghai, beijing and shenzhen for quite some. i always felt the traffic system of allowing straight and left traffic at same time at signal was funny and dangerous. this is proof. the poor guy must have been crushed under the truck.

The intersection is barely marked, no traffic lights, most of the drivers over there have little to no experiance or training to drive, and the chinese auto manufacturers continue to make absolutely trashy cars that barely run and are incredibly unsafe. Sad for both drivers, but the only thing I can see that could have resulted in a better outcome, would be if the truck hadn't swerved or turned, kept his rig upright, and hit the car. It would still be an accident, but not as bad.

it was a female driver, and she died at the scene. The driver of the truck, a Mr Chi Wong, also died from head injuries. And to add insult to injury, both vehicles were written off.
