      Besides the fact that this illusion needs to be setup before hand, I don't think I would try this one in a bar: "Hey, look at my rubber covered glass..."

      My dentist showed me this trick when I was a kid. He even gave me some sheets of rubber that are used for dental dams, which work great for this trick.
