V8 Kombi

That's a damn good engine! It's based on the old aluminum 221 CID GM engine that was used in early sixties Oldsmobiles, and Buicks.

If you dig around you can find some nice high performance stuff for them. Edelbrock probably still has some four barrel intake manifolds for them, and I'm pretty sure Ofenhauser does.

na not chev, its actually an alloy 3.5L rover V8 which in total weighs about 10kg more than the standard 1.8L VW aircooler engine, except this has 200 more hp.

top speed is still about 140 due to the standard gearbox ratios but it gets there faster than the 1.8L aircooled motor,
0 - 100kph is around 8 seconds.
Sure is a handful to drive in the wet as the back end tried to overtake me sometimes but its awesome fun to drive!
