There will be times when you are tiling that you will need to cut a hole through the tile to allow for plumbing or electrical wires. This is a very effective method for drilling through any type of tile using a drill and a carbide tile bit.

what a waste of time
I could have drilled 30 tiles in the time it took to prep for that garbage

- Preparation
  Preparation is the key to doing any job well. You are correct that it takes a little while to prep for the job, but if you are drilling holes in expensive tile, it is better to be safe instead of sorry. Measure twice, cut once, take your time, do the job right - not fast.

Use a carbide bit and make hole or flip over the tile and cut a square with a hand grinder and tap it

  Excellent advice - I have also used these techniques when installing tile. However, I still find the method I show in the video to be the safest method when working with very hard and expensive tile.

try a bit of decorators tape, mark the hole and drill, easy

  I would advise against this because the heat caused by the drill bit can crack and chip the tile.
