Royce Gracie Tribute [13+]

Those were clips of early day UFC when it all started... when the whole point of the contest was to see which style was the best... for most of those fighters,it was the first time they have ever faced a jujitsu fighter, and they had no clue on how to defend it....

Back then the sport was really brutal,as u could see they didnt wear gloves, and the fighters weren't as profesional as fighters today.... that being said... I read a comment on how "Royce didn't let go of the hold when his opponent tapped" I watched an interview with him where he explained why... during some of those matches Royce's opponents tapped but the tap was out of the view of the ref... so when Royce let go of the hold, the fighter said no I didnt tap... (which is a no no in the sport, if you do that.... a guy will break your arm,and if he doesn't the word will get around about you and someone else will break your arm.....) so needles to say the fight went on... and when Royce had him again... he made them pay... and also some guys talked ch it behind stage.. some of these guys were only bouncers at clubs and Royce made them pay too

Royce Gracie I think is the most influencial person on the modren day UFC.... I would say he's like the first pitcher to ever throw a curveball.... nowadays the UFC is all about a fighter being well rounded.... Brazilian Jujitsu (or a ground game) is a big part of a good fighter ...either you have to know it...or at least know how to defend it....or else your gonna get eaten up
