    Am I seeing this wrong... or did I just see the newborn get eaten? I stopped hearing it make noises right around the time, it appeared to be picked up by the mouth. Ew?

      No the baby was not eaten. The mother has picked it up and is comforting it and trying to get it to suckle. Panda's are very loving wonderful parents!!!
