Here are very rare images of WWI tanks. They were very slow, they began to be used in 1916 and allowed troups to attack enemies trenches more efficiently. By the time the war drew to a close the British, the first to use them, had produced some 2,636 tanks. The French produced rather more, 3,870. The Germans, never convinced of its merits, and despite their record for technological innovation, produced just 20, what an error!

  • Imagine being in one of thse

    with a cloud of mustard gas or chlorine comming at you. you wouldnt have a chance. The germans invented it first then the British and Americans soon outgrew the german production levels an they got a taste of their own weapons. It always amazes me how quickly an ememy side copies or develops something just as quickly. Another reason not to have nukes in the first place i guess.
