This is BS
It doesn't work because efficiency for solar energy is too low. If solar panel can generate enough power, why don't just run electric car directly, why bother making Hydrogen?

- u are missing a step here
  the reason u can't directly run a car on solar is, as u correctly said, that solar energy is too weak as a power source by itself.
  WATER is converted to fuel (HYDROGEN) and solar is just enough to perform that conversion.
