    have the mouth opening cut at a downward angle so you could put water in the jar and add dry ice. the vapors would flow down plus you dont have to mess with fire

      there are lots of ways to create a smoking effect...dry ice, incense, mosquito coils, fog machine, etc. my objective was to create the effect using inexpensive materials from around the house. incense is cheaper than dry ice, easier to obtain, less hassle, and lasts longer..messing around with fire didnt cross my mind since incense is safer than the candle in the pumpkin
