World famous for its prestigious University and breath-taking architecture, historic Cambridge sits amongst the beautiful Fenland countryside of Eastern England. The bustling city centre offers plenty of sightseeing opportunities including the famous college 'Backs', popular for punting, and the imposing Fitzwilliam Museum. Located in the heart of the city, the University is only a short walk from the shopping, bars, restaurants and entertainment which can be found in the centre of Cambridge. Excellent facilities, both academic and entertainment based, are available. The University's main campuses provide both areas for study as well as places to escape from it all. There are all the academic facilities you would expect, from dedicated teaching rooms through to libraries and computing facilities. Also on the campus are catering outlets providing delicious meals. On campus there is a choice of the Batman Cafe where you can surf the net over a coffee or the refectory for more substantial meals. A mixture of historic and modern buildings are home to around 8,000 students and there is also a gym/fitness room.
