Near Tunas, Missouri there is a backyard cage housing two tigers. The cage is in the corner of a three sided barn. There is no outside play yard for the tigers. The cage does not have a lock on the door either. This is not safe for the community and the situation is quite sad for the tigers. Please contact the Missouri Law makers through www.CatLaws.com and let them know Missouri needs new laws.

  • We Need To Take Action!

Missouri Needs A Law Banning Private Ownership of Exotic Animals. This bill was introduced 2007 but did not make the floor. It is suppose to be reintroduced this year. Missouri is one of the worst states when it comes to protecting these animals, and also protecting the public. Exotic animals are big business to some, at the cost of these living, breathing, feeling creatures- who lives of misery for profit. Also these animals are bought when they are young, and end up in an unclean, unsafe cage for life. Tigers live 26 years. There are exotic animal auctions in Missouri, and some tigers are bred for their fur and their body parts to sell. The Missouri Conservation Depo will check on a cougar, but have no jurisdiction to check on tiger. How many tigers, lions, monkeys, bears and other animals right this second are suffering in Missouri? How many have any shelter, are fed well, have good medical care, have fresh water, live in a clean environment, can run, can feel grass under them, have a decent life? Not Many!!! This is Cruel punishment, and for animals who committed no crime. Citizens from Missouri need to be made aware of this Travesty. The Nation needs to be aware. We all need to get together and get a law passed that will prohibit private ownership of exotic animals in Missouri. Write representatives and newly elected representatives and contact media. You can make a difference!
