many years ago i had a cat and once it "did" the same thing, it was 100% gone, it felt like a dead corpse and suddenly it came back to life... it really freak me out. Cats are awesome.

its not sick!
i have cats b4 and this happens sometimes, but its not sick, after i did some research online, found out that this is normal, and its cause by cats grouping around some graden and use some flowers as drugs...........thats right!! im not kidding, they handout with fds and get high XDDDDDDDD

Not Normal
This is clearly not a normal cat reaction and clearly a sign of serious illness, injury or poisioning. The normal cat reaction when sleep is disturbed is to move elsewhere. When they are annoyed they will fight back with claws and bites or flee. No cat would allow itself to be handled like that and only the rough physical handling brought it around enough to start preening, also a not normal action when mishandled. Last of all then this is a poor choice location for a cat to sleep.

It seems most likely to me that this cat has been impacted by car and was soon to die. There are course other possibilities like old age, poison and major illness.
