      The Nuke weps haven't been used because of MAD (mutually assured destruction) that would occurr if one side or the other tried. They are deterrents. Everyone wants one so they can be seen as a player in the world scene. Unfortunately, poor people stay poor because the politicians would rather spend the money on their campaigns. Look how much has been spent in the US Presidential race. That money certainly could have been used else where. Why spend close to half a billion dollars on a job that pays 400K a year? Power!
