Jeep goes throw a big puddle with no problem at all.
First of all it is not a Jeep wrangler it's a toyata landruiser FJ40 ...simple round lights would make it a newer edition jeep making it an xj and if you see the roll cage it is a diagonal at the back making it impossible to be a JEEP WRANGLER .......caps just for you NATE.....oh and as for snorkel well ya can use them on either petrol or diesel driven engines.... and mr L200 Chifeagle...the L200 used in the dakar rally only resembles the ROAD going car you have body wise all mechanical and suspension is built to much higher spec.....love to hear comments from people that do know what they are talkin about!!!!!!!
By jd_love_it 1154712100The Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 present in the carburator three little jets with all the caracteristic of a fuel inyection, but with out a pump or fuel pump making it very reliable to gravity feed this tipe of carburators and evidently this IS NOT A FJ40 either, when you're trying to impress people get inform JACK ASS
By Matt 1 1155135337Who gives a crap about all this long I know it all comments? If your not here to have fun, then go to your little roomlab and read all your science books Mr. Perfect!!
By schumiuygyugi 1155139367I'm noticing that it does not mention it eing a jeep Wrangler anywhere. it could be a Cj7. Thos had the round headlights, as did the rest of the Cj line since 1953. it was only when the chrysler corp bought jeep in 87 that they switched to the square headlights and even then it was only for a few years before the TJ wrangler came out. the Xj was a jeep cherokee and has nothing to do with that body style as it's a unibody wagon style. the entire Cj line had the diagonal roll bar supports. so for a person who hates people that sdon't know what they're talking about, why did you "Forget" about the entire Cj line that went from 1953-1986?
In the end it actually is a Fj40 built by Toyota, and that would be a 1978. This is not a fake vid, it's just a crappy quality small vid. you can see the water turned up by the spinning wheels.
My mistake i did mean to say tj not xj and if ya might have noticed i never said it was a fake i know that the fj40 is capable of it as i used to own one a 1983 model (and now i own a yj wrangler with square headlights)(1994 model)!!!!!! As for my little rant i was replying to all the other comments that were made!! For exact information the square lights ran from 87 to 95/96 depending model ie yj or tj (suspension change too from leaf springs to coils)..the fact that you said i hate people that don't know what they are talking about must be a problem of your own!!!!read my comment once more i said "love to hear comments from people that do know what they are talking about" and i never forgot about the cj line its just obvious as you must know the grills are vertical on cj's yj's and also the new tj's it is almost a tell tale sign for all"jeep" so thats why i didn't mention the cj line Mr murder!!!!!!! oh and i am truly amazed at your specific statement saying the year of the fj40 being a 1978 could you enlighten me on how you knew or came to that conclusion please please yet again share your tremendous wisdom with us all
By jd_love_it 1154948994Why everyone here argue about what car that was and call each other jackasses? The movie is about a guy going over a mudhole, though we cant even see his car for a moment. DOESNT MATTER WHAT CAR IT IS!
By Pi and Sigma 1155887555There's a fat tube at the right side of the windshield. Thats where the jeep gets its air!
By Maximilius 1155650199just if u care.....(clip is german too, by the way)
By the watcher123 1155213749Do you think you could remake it without all that background noise. The laughing is really annoying
By waycool30 1202078496Sorry guys but your all wrong. It is a Toyota Landcruiser, but its not an FJ40, its a BJ40.
Fj stands for gasoline driven, BJ for four cylinder diesel, and HJ for six cylinder diesel.
If the engine is in goos condition, and the snorkel is tight then it can do that very easy. Plus it would not really damage any of the components on the vehicle. Trust me I have one, 1978 Toyota Landcruiser BJ40.
Now the axles, gearbox, clutch housing, chassis (frame, for you americans) and pretty much every hollow cavity in the vehicle are filled with varying amounts of muddy, abrasive, corrosive liquid. Even the seats.
So he's going to have to take out the oil drain plugs, refill with new oil, pressure wash everywhere he can get to. Easiest seat option is to throw them away and fit another set, or they'll stink for months..... Most of the electrics will start to give trouble very soon. bearings and brakes will suffer.
So, although you see a good example of deep wading, it's really NOT a clever thing to do, if you're not planning to scrap the vehicle soon.
Many military vehicles can deep-wade like that, for beach landings and river fording, but it's always done as a last choice, and requires a lot of preparation and subsequent fixing. And the military accept vehicle life will be compromised, as a price sometimes worth paying.
I think the guy must be standing to step the peddle or else they are in the water.
By lavendar 1155027493"Jeep goes throw a big puddle with no problem at all."
No, none at all except for almost drowning the driver and passengers!
you see the cable pulling them! the motor noise is also fake!
By jack mee offf 1154664811Mitsubishi is the way. L200 is the best. Think of the Daker Rally
By Chifeagle 1154612593I finally found it, thanks a milion to have indicate ma where the "caps lock" button is. My GPS was out of order or maybe it's the satelite communication wich is bad these days. We have some stormy weater these days here in Belgium.
By kischmytuchas2x 1154544405Just glad you found it, some people around here are still trying.
By link- 1154737761metacafe would not be fun without these idiots commenting all the time. i love u all. thanks for putting a simle on each of us smart people !
By JamesMiller 1154475019because you spelled "smile" wrong...
WITH A DIESEL ENGINE YOU DO NOT NEED ALL THE SEALANTS AS WITH A PETROL ENGINE. A SNORKEL YOU ALWAYS NEED IF THE WATER LEVEL IS HIGHER THAN THE AIR INTAKE. PLUS A DIESEL ENGINE GOT MORE TORQUE AND BREAK POWER IN UPHILS AN DOWNHILS IT IS BETTER DESIGNED FOR ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES.
By kischmytuchas2x 1154444493this magical button is called the capslock button! Press it! Now you won't look like a complete fool when commenting.
By link- 1154458542frankino thanked link above ... he seems happy to have been told.
That is a jeep not a LAND CRUSER (dumbass)
And I did this all the time in my wrangler.
Without the snorkel (air intake) distributer plugs (water sealers) and breather
(for the exhaust) that thing would have died THAT HAPPENED TO ME
BTW jeeps distibuters S**k
WAIT 'JEEPS S**k
F**king 400 bucks for water pump
the snorkel is like 150
and I could walk right up to your preacious soft top jeep anytime
pull the top back unlock the door and steal it
these vehicles need to be laid to rest
I FELL SORRY FOR ALL YOU OUT THERE SPENDING ALL THAT MONEY ON THAT THING FOR WHAT ?
How often do you really need to cross a river or puddle or lake evryday
whew "I'm spent"
Did I metion Jeeps S**k
Now a Land Cruiser with a snorkel MUAHH
<<<grabbs tissue lol hehe
