    You are a sad excuse for a son... if this is a true story, I have absolutely no compassion for a shallow, self obsurbed freak like yourself. Once again, if this is true, I'm dissappointed that you weren't man enough to understand your mother... let alone ask how she'd lost her eye. And to top it off, you allowed your children to disrespect your mother, regardless of what sort of an idiot you are as a son. THEN, to top it off even further you LIED to your wife about taking a business trip??? You are truly a SORRY excuse for a human. I hope your kids grow up to disrespect you, and loath you, as you had done to your poor mom.

    this is probably a methaphor. Widely used to illiustrate an insight. I am sorry for anyone that so much and straight away condems anytihng without the wisdom to treuly look at something. I hope someday you will, it will mean greater happiness. I think it is a metaphor and a well-known story in one part of the world.

      a few things that i didnt like. he says he ignored her when she came to the class, then he gave her a hateful look and ran out. maybe im confused about what ignore means. he also said he got the letter about the reunion and lied to his wife about a business trip. ive never been to a reunion, but do you rsvp? how would she have known he was coming. how soon do you rsvp to a reunion before you actually show up. would she have had time to die between that time and he not read about it in the paper or something. why would the neighbors wait for him to arrive after he hadnt been there in years.

    This story does not teach anything. How dare that boy show such dissrespect to his mother?!!! There are absolutely no moral values shown in this. The boy grew to be an asshole, his mother was weak with her son (because this boy, you just know he grew to be judgeful and discriminating of others) and at the end she dies and tells him with a letter that she gave him her eye when the accident occured... I believe that is called selfishness. Crappy work, none inspiring.

    what can I say or do to thank her enough, I always loved her and respected her, but when I had my daughters I even loved her more. I understood what mothers do for kids to grow up. The story may not be true but I am sure many mothers are treated in a very sick way by their kids, This happens all the time in all nations. I am sad for them as their is no love compered to the one comming from your mom.       I lost my Mom in 2000 on Valentines day. Although I lived 250 miles away, I visited her and Dad every month. I miss her dearly. Although the clip might be slightly "embillished", it still brought a tear to my eye. You will only have one mother and one father.     Corneal transplants are however, but that is not what this video talks about. Besides, you would not take a cornea from a live donor - corneas for transplant are not hard to come by. This video is a lie, it's also immensely tedious to watch. It's some garbage propaganda. Stop getting teary eyed about it folks. Most mothers are special - we all know that. But not all are.
