  • It's just

    a scaled down model.

And the first mackine gun of sorts was the Roman Repeating Balistea. All you had to do was turn a crank and so long as there was enough ammo, it would keep firing.

  • Repeating Crossbow....?

You can't kill with it, its to soft. The bow itself on this construction is no bow, it won't bend. And it looks like there is a sort of rubberband fixed on it. ( When you are loading its looks like loading a RIOT gun! ). Anyway, its nice done, almost like the original medieval machine gun ( bow? ) invented by the chinese. Thanks for sending......

    • not a chinese repeatintg crossbow

this has very very few similarities to a "chinese repeating crossbow", which was a levered design, not a slide. This particular contraption is actually a much better accomplishment than simply recreating one of those, as it's a pretty original design. I agree that a more flexible material for the bow would be a good idea, but it would also make it MUCH harder to draw. Most traditional crossbows required some sort of levered tool to draw them, and the limitation of not being able to use something like that will set a finite limit to the max power you can get away with. Probably not practical to create a weapon with any lethality, but still very cool design in it's own right.
