  • Good Job!

Thanks for tutorial. I wonder how many DVD players get thrown out instead of a fairly quick fix?

  • thank you

My intention was to made a video guide for the DVD's players who doesn't have easy access to the lens. By the way you can use that guide to repair some kind of DVD surround systems like this one.
Thank you for your comments. Check my channel for more hack stuff.

  • You didn't need to do all that

I have taken apart a lot of dvd players and the most I've ever done was remove the cover turn it on and unplug it to move the tray and use a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol on it. Then ruff up of fluff up another to wipe off the excess alcohol. leave it all conected just move the servo moter to the lead out position. which means the end track. and clean it that way with the optical lens cleaned thats all you have to do. you don't have to go through so much trouble like in this video.,.

  • Thanks

Sometimes it is absolutely necessary to manually clean the lens.

Lens cleaning discs a great, but don't always work. This method is sure to remove any debris from the lens. Plus, with the case off, you can blow it out thoroughly.

  • It would be easy but useless!

I' ve tried many times, but no result, especially if you must put out some dirty made by my daughters biscuits!
