Ilyushin IL-18 Aborted Take off

The pilot ran out of runway and he know that he was not going to get to rotation speed before the end of the runway. Rotation speed (also called Vr) is the speed at which the airplane generates enough lift to become airborne. Vr is different for every make and model of airplane. Temperature and humidity also play a part as well as takeoff weight and balance. My guess is this airport has a very short runway and not built for aircraft this large. My 2nd guess is that the temperature was blazing hot. My 3rd guess is that the pilots didnt follow procedure. My 4th guess is that this airport doesnt have air traffic control, otherwise those people walking near the runway wouldnt be there during the takeoff of an aircraft. This is the same type of situation where 3rd world countries overload ferries and they sink. It comes down to plain (plane) carelessness.

You all people are stupids, the plane couldnt take off because i did'nt gave the plane green signal. YOU GOT IT ?

The plane didn't take off into wind. You can see the wind direction from the smoke and dust after it's come to a stop.

The Soviet made IL-18 should be stored in the museum today, and the plane is equiped with although there are 4 but under power engine cos its been too old. There isn't any thing wrong with the runway. it won't be landed here if it is too short to take off. But the Il-18 usually required a longer distant to take-off if compare to other makes of the same class.

DON'T YOU SEE THE FIRE IN THE PLANE TYRES...THATS WHAY IT WAS ABORTED AND HE GETS OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE SAND TO GET THE FIRE OFF... NOW YOU CAN SEE ANOTHER TIME AND WIL KNOW WHY

So why did he abort take-off?

A strange event anyway. Approach take-off speed and then apply the breaks real hard (until they burn) and cut the engines.

Well a nice large bill to pay. The whole landing gear will need close examination and repair. The rest should hopefully be fine except for sand in unwelcomed places.
