    Do the decals for Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, etc. indicate that the US is investing in reviving the Tu-144?
    That was a very fast landing and the aircraft bounced thrice.

      The Tupolev Tu-144 (NATO reporting name: Charger) was a supersonic transport (SST) constructed under management of the Soviet Tupolev design bureau headed by Alexei Tupolev (1925–2001).

      Western media nicknamed the plane Concordski (sometimes Konkordski), sounding like a Russian surname yet still very close to Concorde, to which Tu-144 was visually similar. A prototype first flew on December 31, 1968 near Moscow, two months before the Concorde. The Tu-144 first broke the sound barrier on June 5, 1969, and on July 15, 1969, it became the first commercial transport to exceed Mach 2.

  • THis is faster then the concord

    but with less range. These Tu-144 are not good for commarcial flying as its safty and fuel efficiancy is at its worts(they are grounded and never used for commarcial routs). Russian plans are popular for lack of safty and Tupolov is at the first of the list, in fact today another TU-145 in ukrain fell . As in this movie this Tu-144 was shared with expance of boeing and Nasa were further studies can be accived foro the future super sonic commercial jet.

      Russian planes are POPULAR for lack of safety. People are fighting to get into an unsafe plane. They like to live on the edge. Sports extreme generation I guess.

  • Nice but useless

    Some Soviet Plane and Shuttle like Tu 144 and Buran are look like Concorde and american shuttle but they are in use in very short time .May be the forms are look alike but inside are not and not allowed them to function for long time as the others.But we have to recognise them as marks of history like Soviet Union itself.
