After 9/11, no aircrafts were allowed to fly in North America. In only 3 days, the sudden loss of aircraft pollution changed the USA climate.

    Studies appear to show that the contrails and other air pollution, such as coal burned in power plants, contributes to a cooling effect. Particles seed the clouds, causing the clouds to hold more moisture than usual, and increasing the clouds' reflective capacity, bouncing a greater degree of solar radiation back into space. In effect, some scientists believe, one form of modern society's pollution is cancelling out the warming effect of CO2 pollution. The problem is that great strides have been made in curtailing particulate pollution, while CO2 is increasing.

    Everyone who has ever said that has regretted it

    Its an interesting amount of information but all he shows is that the temperature changed in 3 days because of no planes? Not a drastic change just 1 degree in 3 days so it was warmer that week

    Ok here is the problem he doesn’t have anything he can show and then reproduce the results he looks at one week out of the year. In science you have to reproduce your results over and over to stop anomalies from being taken seriously.

    There is a pollution problem all over the world especially in the US but we need to cut back on Internal Combustion Engines not Gas turbine engines. Planes help lower the level of pollution 4 engines pushing 300 people instead of 200 cars with 200 more pollutant engines driving longer and releasing more pollution pushing 300 people he brings up some points but it is a minor problem in this much bigger issue even lowering the consumption of electricity in your home replacing light bulbs with more economic ones has a bigger impact then “dimming” we use to much we need to have an energy policy and wean ourselves off of fossil fuels.

    This interesting as it is I do not believe it to be important in the big vast picture that is global warming.
