    I think this ia an excellent demonstration of knowing your equipment and its capabilities! I also believe the bulldozer operator is very intelligent to figure this out and execute it! The people are talking on two-way radios to the truck driver and bulldozer driver!

    • but if that happended in korea

      the back-hoe operator would be killed by the truck driver. here is why, he the oper. could get the truck damaged while lowering the nose of truck with the boom. it is so funny. that back-hoe must be one of the HyunDai LC series and the oper. must be korean with lack of experience and those two radio guys should be thai who never seen it before and felt amazing because i heard too many 'roi' afterward of every talk.

      It's not a bulldozer, or a backhoe, It's called a Excavator.
      And it's not that big of a trick. I have seen it done a few times here in the states before the DOT made it mandatory to use ramps for equipment being carried on flat beds.

    Back axles on truck not going to last long, tyres on back axle alone gettin far too much abuse.
    Cutting corners like that is dangerous, i'm a HGV mechanic and have seen first hand the damage heavy machines do to people. Its only impressive until someone is hurt (or killed).

      his rear springs and axle will tolerate this abuse for very long. Then what will happen is that his spring will break while out on the road and go threw someone window and either kill them or hurt them. I seen a lot of springs break out on the road due to overloading them.

      You don't know anything about this. This truck isn't overloaded. A truck can be loaded with 20 to 30 tons. A crane like this weighs about 5 to 10 tons, so there's no problem with this. Ever heard of balance?

    and that operator did it wrong,, if you use the bucket and the boom of the excavator to support the weight of the machine then the truck or trailer, whichever your using,, doesnt have to move at all. Whoever was doing this probably watched a real operator do it then f'd it up when he tried it. You can side-load low boy trailers like that too, even though you aren't supposed to cuz it tears the trailers up.

      after watchin it some more,, probably the machine was more than the hydraulics on the truck could handle,, and they did what they could. Besides,, the truck and the machine got away without harm, and no one got hurt,, so F**k it,, no harm no foul.

    All of you are heavy equipment Newbs.

    A Bulldozer has a blade on front and pushes the dirt.

    A Backhoe has a loader bucket on one side and a digging arm on the other and can dig maybe 8 feet down.

    The thing in the video is an Excavator, and it's used for digging on big jobs, where reach and depth are more than a backhoe can provide.
