Here is a little video I made on how to make Black powder or Gun powder. I know many people will frown upon my technique, however, it is a simple, efficient way to make black powder. Enjoy.

if you dissolve the kno3 in hot water then add the charcoal and sulfur mix to it you will get realy good black powder just mixing the cemicals will not give you black powder

u will think its ok if you live threw it, why dont you grind up your ingredients first. and then mix.

Safety
I assure you all it should be safe. The ignition temperature of Black powder is at least 350 degrees celsius. It is impossible for a simple coffee grinder to produce 350 degrees celsius JUST by friction alone. I understand your safety concerns, and appreciate them. Most firework instruction sites understandably go overboard on safety, but really it is unneccesary.

  Dude you do know adding stale urine makes your grinding much safer and makes the end product contain more oxygen and makes the end product a little better burning then otherwise.
