Desperate Housecat

I had a stray cat that hung around my house and she didn't know what to do, either. She even picked on up and put it in the bowl of cat food, as if the kitten was going to eat some. The kitten was way too young to be 'eating' anything, but the mother didn't seem to realize this. I'm not sure if this was because this was her first litter or what...

dam... poor cat mother... she just has no freakin clue wat to do... poor...

give the mama some drugs. Looks like post-partum to me. Hit her with a dose before she tries to drown 'em.

She looks like a young mother and these are her first kittens..first timers dont really take care of their kittens all that well.. it comes from experaince.. u can easly notice how confused and hesitent she is.. nice cat tho :)

he should've helped her in putting her kids together instead of sitting and watching the show

Wow she is a cutey and yeah like some of your viewers said. She looks like a first time mother. Contrary to popular believe cats do not learn by instinct. much like us they have to learn by doing or by watching. But I am sure that she learned how to care for them very well. because you were there.

Poor kitty. She wasn't sure what to do! I could tell she wanted to get them back in the bed, but she seemed a bit confused on how to do it. XD

Most cats do this with their first litters. Most women are clueless when they take their first baby home too.

why the cat didnt bring the kittens back is because the cat has just done this and is confused why the cats were moved.. You cant play a trick on the cat to get the cats natural reaction, try placing the kittens away when the cats not around.

Your Mother cat see you as her mother i think and looks for your help.
My mother has had many litters and has gotten better and better over the past 5 years, give her time and play with her young, she will see you care for them.
I always move them slowly not to fast for the movement will scare them in the beginning. In time you can handle them more quickly.
They are so cute. ; )
